Get ready to relive the excitement! On July 13th, we hosted our dynamic Youth Sports Basketball Camp in the stunning surroundings of Flagstaff, AZ. This unforgettable day was led by none other than former professional hoopers Alex Scales, Damen Bell-Holter,
King Buckley, and Analyss Benally.
Our camp was packed with high-energy drills, cutting-edge skills, and advanced techniques, all culminating in teamwork exercises and thrilling scrimmage games. But we didn't stop there! Our camps are designed with a holistic approach, incorporating a strong focus on mental health and professional development. We brought in top-notch experts to inspire and educate our youth, ensuring they not only grow as athletes but also as well-rounded individuals.
Join us and experience the magic of our youth sports camps – where athletic excellence meets personal growth!
We are immensely grateful to Chick-Fil-A for providing a delicious lunch for our basketball camp, fueling our young athletes for an action-packed day. A big thank you also goes to Raising Cane's for their generous contribution of participation awards, which included a Free Kids Meal for each camper to enjoy after the event. Additionally, our nonprofit was thrilled to give away backpacks and school supplies, ensuring that every participant left not only with new skills and memories but also with the essentials for their educational journey.
United Natives hosted our first free football camp for Indigenous youth. We featured University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) football players. Our players featured quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, wide receiver Jake Bobo, running back Zach Charbonnet and wide receiver Titus Mokiao-Atimalala. Each player coached and mentored Native youth during our camp and participated in a panel discussion with our United Natives youth council members. Indigenous youth within the grade of 6th-12th attended the camp hosted by Mesa Community College.
